The Bartlinski Bunch

" Teresa "

" Teresa "

Teresa "Fang Fang " Bartlinski

Teresa was born on December 25, 2006 in China. She was born with a very complex heart condition. In July 2010, GOD added Teresa to our family through adoption. We have been blessed with 9 wonderful children. Gods grace has woven us together as a family. Upon bringing Teresa home from China we unfortunately learned she not only needed a heart transplant but also a lung transplant. Her doctors feel she would not survive this operation. Please help us to pray for a miracle for Teresa's heart and lungs to be healed. She is a very special little soul who has touched so many lives around the world ...

Thy Will Be Done

"For Gods Will to be done" has always been our prayer.

For Three years God gave Teresa a family. Her life was filled with love, endless happiness and a strong love of God.  In those three years she changed our lives. Shortly after coming home from China  ,she started calling Father Whatley ,Jesus.  She always loved to hug him. To her he is her Jesus.
.
Now God is leading Teresa on a much different journey.  For Three years Teresa changed our hearts now she is changing the hearts of people all over the world.

Please know that we read all of your emails ,comments and texts.  They have come to us from all over the world telling us how Teresa has touched their lives.   Even though I can not answer them all , please know that they have all touched our hearts.

Teresa is stable .  She is still coming in and out of sedation.
On Monday she will have a bilateral ventricular assist device ( Berlin Heart)   implanted.  This will give her a better quality of life.  She will be able to get up, play, eat and walk around.
After resting for 6-12 weeks she will be re listed for a new heart. This is a VERY risky surgery.

God  continues to carry Teresa  through every obstacle.  She is still fighting hard!
Her Medical team is in awe at her ability to fight, survive and try so hard to be the BOSS!

She blesses strangers by calling & inviting them to prayer. Have you seen the movie "Soul Surfer"? Teresa reminds me of the heroine in that movie. "Had this (injury) not happened to me, I wouldn't have had this amazing spiritual life." Were Teresa not walking this challenging path with you & your entire family and the medical team, so many people wouldn't have been led to prayer. Even in sedation & medical emergency, she blesses people all over the world. Strangers, friends & kin alike. People whom she'll never meet on Earth. It's subtle but sure, she blesses thousands even from her sick bed.

Dear Ann and family,
I have been following Teresa's story for a while now. Just want to let you know that she has touched our lives. What a bright and vivid little person she is, what a fighter. I feel for you and your entire family, so much stress and uncertainty, watching your child and sibling cry silent tears... Don't give up!
Warm regards from The Netherlands,

I came to know about Theresa through a friend of mine in the US. I have been glued to your blog for 2 weeks, checking for news all day long and praying for Theresa and your family. I told my friends and family about you and asked them to pray for you or send positive thoughts. So yes, even from France prayers are sent your way. Praying for the best for your little angel and wishing you great courage. Audrey

Oh Ann, what a beautiful post. Teresa has touched so many hearts. It is sad that she is going through this now and that you have to endure seeing your daughter in pain. I have followed you for a long time now. Not even sure myself why my thoughts this past week or so have been so focused on you and your daughter. I just think it is because of who you are....beautiful people with so much love to share. The world really needs more people like you. Once, Teresa was almost given a heart, then she really was given a heart....just thinking the third time will be a charm. As a health care professional, I have done it a long time...medically, Teresa really does amaze me...which is why I feel such a sense of peace know ing she will be ok....it is too bad it has to take so long and be with so much heartache and pain. Keep the faith because God's WILL will be done. It really will. Hugs to you. Anything you need, let us know...we really do want to help.

Our entire family continues to pray for your girl. Teresa is now a household name in our home!!! May His will be done and all glory go to Him

I think I told you when you first got Teresa that we inquired about getting her when the plea went out for her. She was with our agency, but at the time we were in the process of adopting another child and at that time China was not allowing multiple adoptions, let alone with a child as ill as Teresa. So I have always followed through the blog smitten with her cuteness and often felt pangs of why did that China rule of multiple adoptions change so quickly thereafter?

Anyhow, I praise God daily as He knew that you were the perfect family for her!!

Will Teresa's Berlin Heart have one or two pumps? I will continue to pray for her. Her body has taken such a hit, but her spirit has not. We are all encouraged by Teresa's faith and happy spirit. I will pray that her other organs heal and for her hearing. Many of the drugs used for transplant can be ototoxic. Please make sure that you and your husband take time to rest and take some alone time as well. You need down time to come together in prayer privately. This is probably one of the most difficult journey's you will ever take. Having had a child spend two months in the hospital as well as being blessed to care for a child before, during, and after a liver transplant, I know the toll the days can take on you. Stay strong and look to Jesus for comfort first, each other second. I will keep you both in prayers as well as the rest of your family. What a wonderful witness you both are to the rest of your children. Their faith must be getting so strong. Blessings and prayers, Glori. Westminster, MD

My friend Melody Rose told me of Teresa and her fight. I am the youth minister at my church, and Mel knew that I am a prayer warrior. Although I don't know you personally, I have been praying for your whole family as you continue to stay strong. I have put Teresa on our prayer list at church too, so know that our whole church continues to pray for her recovery. Prayer does make a difference!

Peace,
Wendy Huff

I am new here on your blog but I have a little knowledge of Teresa's history. I am praying and Heaven is being flooded with prayers for her. God is in control for sure and he is holding her in his arms. She is already a miracle for bringing many to God. What a blessing she has with her family. Will be praying Monday as she faces surgery again. God bless all of you.

Teresa, I am praying for you and have been since I heard of you a week ago. Never has a stranger touched me as you have. I have a little girl from China too. I hope that the Lord lifts you out of that bed and sets you to playing very soon. May all your pain be a faded memory never to return. Your mommy and daddy are brave people, but I'm sure you are the bravest above all in your family. Love to you Princess, from North Carolina:) XXXXOOOO
