Teresa was born on December 25, 2006 in China. She was born with a very complex heart condition. In July 2010, GOD added Teresa to our family through adoption. We have been blessed with 9 wonderful children. Gods grace has woven us together as a family. Upon bringing Teresa home from China we unfortunately learned she not only needed a heart transplant but also a lung transplant. Her doctors feel she would not survive this operation. Please help us to pray for a miracle for Teresa's heart and lungs to be healed. She is a very special little soul who has touched so many lives around the world ...

Transfusion day

Today Gemma had her blood transfusion . For the second month in a row she was able to make it 4 weeks in between transfusions . ( Yeah !!!!) . This is great news for her since she will require blood transfusions for the rest of her life . Her ferritin levels were still very high so her daily infusion of Deferoxamine will be increased . Her Doctor discussed the possibility of her needing a bone marrow transplant in the future. The transplant would ideally have to come from a biological family member as this would greatly lower the possibility of major complications . This most likely will never be a possibility for her because finding her biological family in China is extremely difficult if not impossible . So for right now the plan is to continue on with the blood transfusions every 4 weeks and hopefully get her ferritin down before her liver becomes much more damaged .

Teresa update - she had a very good day today and seemed to have more energy . She received 2 packages today from 2 more amazing friends. Thank you so much ! You made her smile all day !!!!

The girls are having so much fun tracking Teresa's prayer friends form all over the world . She almost has someone praying for her from every continent ! WOW

Thank you !!!!

Just want you to know that Teresa is in my prayers, too. Your family is beautiful. My daughter is adopted from China...she is 3-years-old and her name is Caroline. We will continue to lift up Teresa in our prayers.

Ann - your positive attitude is just an inspiration to us - ya'll are a fantastic family! What continents are you missing? I've got a couple friends who are ex-military - might be able to find a couple 'directed prayer warrior's' to reach out to - and see if we can't get prayers coming from around the whole world!

hugs - aus and co.

Hi Ann- have you heard of Dr. Jack Copeland at UCSD? He just performed a heterotopic heart transplantation on a patient- they add a heart insted of removing one. It was on the news and I thought about Theresa and maybe such a rare procedure (1-2 a year in the country) has not come to the attention of her doctors?

Re finding relatives in China..are you aware of Lydia Miyashita? Her parents found her birth family when they also were needing a donor. It is not impossible.

Praying for miracles.
