Very Dire

We just had a meeting with the wonderful team of Docotrs. They wanted to make sure that we knew how dire the situation is with Teresa right now. Even though we know , when you hear it spoken out loud, "We are in the HEROIC phase, and It is VERY dire". I can hardly breath. They wanted to know if we felt it was too much for Teresa. Teresa will never stop fighting! So never will we. This is just another opportunity for God to create a bigger miracle. When your Doctor asks you if it is OK to pray and cries with you ... As we came back to the room , Teresa's nurse was singing one of her favorite songs ALONG WITH TERESA. Once again she broke through all sedation and paralytic and is trying to communicate . She is so strong!
Teresa will be ok. ... either in Jesus arms or in mine.

  3. Praying here to for that miracle ON EARTH. I don't want God to take her home yet. I am crying so hard.

There have been TOO MANY heart babies from China being called HOME to their Creator. I know I can't understand His plans because my mind is finite.

I just wish with all of my heart for God to grant Teresa that BIG MIRACLE. I know He can. I know so many reading here know He can, and so many others are reading to witness perhaps for the first time in their own life the God of the universe and how He cares for EACH AND EVERY person.

Ann, I am in awe of your ability to praise Jesus and continue to follow Him NO MATTER WHAT. Your last statement here is incredibly faith-filled. Thank you for sharing in such a vulnerable time in your family's life.

I wish I lived closer. Please know I pray for Teresa and your family so many times throughout the day. She is never far from my thoughts. I see her sweet face in my mind when she is brought to my mind. I see our own heart babies and think of her and so many others who have had to fight way too hard for precious children.

I am heartbroken for what Teresa is having to endure. Please know we are praying for her here. Our sweet Sallie gives her picture kisses through the computer screen. She understands in a huge way I know, b/c she sees Teresa with all the tubes and points at her own heart surgery scar.

I just don't know what to say b/c there are no words to make it right. I am so very sorry. And I am NOT giving up praying for that miracle of healing for Teresa's heart.

I cannot imagine what this family is going through. Princess Teresa continues to show us just how strong she is by waking up out of strong sedation to sing a song with a tube in her mouth alongside with her nurse at the bedside. She has overcome multiple critical circumstances, and remains here tonight to keep up the fight. Praying that little Teresa gets rested up and well nourished this weekend, so she is ready to fight for her life on Monday when the Berlin heart will be inserted into her body. I'm sure Teresa will fight until the end, and will come through that surgery and be the BOSS, knowing a better quality of life is waiting for her. Teresa's beautiful radiating smile will shine through CHOP, just like she has come into the lives of everyone around the world. I hope and pray that Princess Teresa and her family can feel all of our arms wrapped around them, wanting so much for a miracle to happen. We all are praying for a miracle, to give this child more time with her family. SO, for everyone that is out there who BELIEVES, Teresa will be here for many more years to live the life she deserves. As always, keeping you and your family in our thoughts and prayers. Teresa, you are such an inspiration. Please know how many people you have touched with your story. It is your turn to receive all the wishes and prayers go your way. You are the Boss....keep up the fight. Keep believing....anything is possible if you believe! Sweet dreams little Teresa... Everyone around the world will be praying for you on Monday. Hang in there, sweetheart! Keep up the fight!MIRACLES DO HAPPEN!!!

  7. We have found ourselves checking this page about every 30 minutes, hoping that the miracle that we all have prayed so hard for has happened. Please continue to share even the smallest of changes and please know that we are in this fight with Teresa and your family for as long as needed. We pray throughout the day and night and have faith that our prayers are in God's will.

When time allows please Google and read about Pope John Paul II being on the fast track to sainthood. I'm praying to him as well.

  14. O Jesus Christ, Messiah and Lord, grant me joyful acceptance of the surgery which awaits me, and let this be the relief and cure which I seek. Make skilled the work of the surgeon and that of his team for it is unto their knowledge and skill that I give myself for healing. I pray You, O Lord, that this procedure will be without complication, and that my recovery will be speedy and complete.

  15. Ann, your heart is in my heart. With all the momma-love I have, I hold you close across the Internet and marvel at your strength in the face of what must be excruciating pain. Know that you are admired and loved along with your brood and especially your littlest peanut as she fights. My tears are for you.

  16. God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal Teresa. You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk. You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into Teresa's body and give her the strength to fight. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. AMEN

  24. we have been following your blog for some time now. I have never commented but wanted you to know you are an amazing example of FAITH to me..and so is your precious daughter. I am so sorry she is having to go through so much difficulty here on this side of heaven. But God know what HE is doing and obviously you all are trusting in Him alone. I am praying for Teresa, sweet little girl. We just brought home 2 of 3 now, precious Chinese blessings. We have ten total. Our youngest has TOF and while his condition is nothing compared to Teresa's it gives me hope and encouragement watching your story be told. He is going to be having a cath done soon and I am nervous but trusting Jesus along with you. Blessings

This may sound cliché, as I am certain that EVERYBODY has most likely said/written/commented these words. But I am going to mention them, anyway. God has an incredible plan in store for Beautifully Unique Teresa. To literally show the world His Love, Grace, plus Mercy.... And it has already long-ago begun!!

  26. I know this seems very trite right now, but I often remember that to succeed you only need to get up one more time than you fall down. That reminds me to take things one step at a time, in tiny little steps. The journey is long. You have come very, very far. And now you find there is still more to go. Look one step down the path. The Boston Heart is a good device. It gives patients time to rest and to gather strength. Teresa will rest and gather strength. Your family too. And then you will take the next step. Teresa is not the only one that is strong. All of our love and strength goes out to you.

I believe in miracles! My daughter's Godmother was diagnosed two years ago next month with advanced Stage IV pancreatic cancer. She is a living testament to God's answer to prayers! She's still with us. The road hasn't been easy but I can tell you this, she is still with us - having a quality and wonderful life and she is impacting so many people along her cancer journey! She is still even working up to the present. Never give up even when the outlook isn't what we expected or wanted.

We pray that God will listen to the prayers and give that miracle for precious little Teresa. She has been in our family's heart and mind constantly since we heard her story.

We also pray for your family that God will cover them with His love and blessings. You are in our prayers constantly.

Love, hugs and lots of prayers!

  45. Glad to hear that the Princess still is singing; hope the nurse was on key or I am certain Princess Teresa
will be making a comment. I am certain God has a place set up for her, but hope he will leave it open and
allow her to remain with her brothers and sisters. She seems like she has a sparkle about her that needs to
shine and even when it appears to be dire she needs to keep her little light shining. I hope the good doctors can find the right combination to keep her sedated; so she can rest and gain strength. It is a long and winding road and I pray that she will have safe travels for years to come.

Her blog is 4mykaidence.blogspot.com. You will have to archive back to 2007 if you want to read from the beginning of her journey and the Berlin. I must admit, that I was a great blogger but as things returned to 'normal' I started slacking. Keep the faith! Our docs also told us that Miss K wouldn't make it. They wanted us to sign a DNR but we also believed that if she was willing to fight....who were we to tell her the fight was over? Today she is doing well with her 2nd heart. Prayers for you and your family.

Continuing to pray. I hope and pray you don't get to the point where you think it has become too much for Boss Princess Teresa to endure. In such a circumstance, the four-letter word STOP is just as odious as the two four letter words you've already heard (VERY DIRE). I pray for her cure & survival, of course, but I also pray for continued faith and doubt-free hearts for all of you. Doubt and Second-Guessing are cruel taskmasters indeed.

  63. Dear Ann and family,

I read this last night and was sad but then saw the positive message of Teresa's strength and perseverance. If Teresa refuses to give up, we should not either. We all must continue to pray. Great miracles come from the times when everything looks bleak, and our hopes are dashed away by what we see and hear. God uses these times to do some of His greatest works ! May this be one of those times!
I will pray a rosary today for Teresa's complete healing on Earth, and for strength for your family.
I , like others, wish I lived closer so I could do more to help.
