Day 12 ECMO

Thank you all who dropped off Tieras for Teresa ! They are all beautiful. I can not wait for Miss T. to see them! She was stable on the ECMO today day 12. Her lungs are VERY junky and the x ray is not good. They MUST improve by monday or she will not survive the Berlin. The bleeding in her nose mouth and eyes has slowed down . The concern is the amount of bleeding that will occur during surgery may not be able to be controlled because of the amount of blood thinners she is on for the past 12 days. She is still VERY heavily sedated but continues to come to every 2-3 hours. I love to see her eyes open. But she is so scared because she does not understand the tubes in her mouth. She shakes her head no that she is not in any pain , but shakes her head yes she wants that tube out of her mouth ! She gave me the thumbs up when I told her we would take her to Disney World to see all the Princesses when she gets better. She does not like it when I talk about Gemma or Home . This makes her cry silent tears. Just breaks my heart.
Please pray specifically for her lungs to heal and clear up , her to have no ECMO emergencies , and ALL her organs to stay strong !

Little Miss T. is fighting hard still.  She is tiny but mighty!  She continues to defy all odds.  On Monday Our Good and Gracious God will show us His Miracle.  For God is Good ALL of the time!

  8. I have been following your story since I saw Teresa on the Today Show. I am amazed by her spirit and her will to fight. I am also amazed by you who are her wonderful parents. I am praying hard for all of you and I have passed your story to other family members who are also praying. We love all of you and feel that you are all a part of our family, especially Teresa who reminds me so much of my own little princess who loves to dance, sign and wear tiaras. I know that God will bless us all with the miracle of Teresa's healing. Stay strong!!!

  10. HI Ann,

Yes our God is an Awesome God !! No miracle is to great for HIm to perform. I am also happy forTeresa and your family that she is pain free. Only God knows what lies in Teresa's future, but the intelligence and skills that these doctors, nurses, and other hospital staff have that care for Teresa is God given ! Trusting that God will guide their every move and give her many more years here on earth so others can see His miracle in person :)
Getting ready to leave for church and will be praying hard. Thank you for continually posting.
God bless you, Teresa, and your family and give you all the strength to endure until Teresa's healing is complete.

  11. God has His plan for Teresa-- not easy for you to clearly know this yet. Have you ever looked at a beautiful tapestry hanging on a wall by standing right up close to it?? All you can see are the individual threads woven in and out. It is not until you stand back, away from those little threads, that you can see the absolutely gorgeous picture that each of those little threads have combined together to make-- your Teresa is one of those extra special little threads-- she is just one of those special people that is a critical part of God's plan. She is in His hands and He is with her, AND you, always. All of you are strongly in my prayers. Hang in there, Little Princess, for God loves you so very much-- He knows what He is doing, even if it is not very clear right now as to His plan.

  12. Thank you so much for the update! I've been to the site several times. I so want in the worst way for the World's Princess to survive all this! God please take charge and give Little Teresa and her body the strength to make it through this all and become well again! Will continue to pray!

  13. Wanted you to know that our daughter was in a serious car accident 3 years ago and has since endured 13 major surgeries. The type of injury involved a great deal of pain the type that she would go into shock if it was not managed. We have since discussed her time in the hospital and 6 months of intense recovery.
I am amazed that god had a way of erasing all the pain and bad memories from that time in her life. I just wanted you to know that while we her parents and family have vivid memories of that terrible time my daughter almost recalls nothing
    What a blessing

Thank you for telling us specific things for which to pray. I am sorry to read that talk of home makes her so sad. I am sure she's terribly homesick atop being physically sick. Continuing to pray for healing, as wellvas thanking God for every minute you've enjoyed her and every minute she has survived so far. What an amazing journey she's had from day one.

  23. Keep fighting little one. When I was a little girl with my 1st open heart surgery my grandmother said " don't be afraid Jesus will hold your hand the whole time." He did and I know he's holding Teresa in his arms and watching over her every day. I wake up to check for updates and don't go to bed without checking either. She has forever touched my heart. Maybe because we are both fighters. Prayers everyday for her, family, and medical team.
