The Writing on the Wall !
If you are going to draw on the wall, it is a good idea not to write your name under it ! Gemma was BUSTED!!! She was not a happy camper .
This week Teresa had more good days than bad . Her oxygen is still low but she has managed to play (oops), I mean BE a princess still ! She is so happy and loving life !
We have submitted her medical reports to several more Hospitals with the hope of still finding a "Miracle " cure somewhere. It's not that we don't believe the other Doctors prognosis, we just want to be sure there isn't a miracle cure somewhere. The response we keep getting is she is inoperable . Her lungs are severely, irreversibly damaged and she can not have surgery on her heart to repair the several major defects.
Her tricuspid valve is now severely leaking , her oxygen is very low and she is still retaining fluid , and has a very enlarged liver .
It kills me to think this could have ALL been avoided had she been adopted sooner. Before her lungs became so damaged , she would have been able to have the surgery for her heart to save her life . Why ?!?!?!
Oh how I am praying the Lord will bring something NEW to the doctors! I'm thankful to hear Teresa has had more good days this week! I know that helps your momma heart a great deal.
ReplyDeleteYour sweet girl is such a sunshine!
Praying in Alabama....
Oh Ann! I am praying for her daily as are my kids! I pray that the Lord might put His hands upon her and heal her and that she might be a walking testament to His great glory!
ReplyDeleteAnn - I so wish I could answer your question - suffice to say I have something of a "list" of questions that I intend to discuss with the Father sometime in the future...and somehow I know that He'll be happy to resolve them for me. Until then all we can do is simply hold onto Faith and trust the He really does know what He's doing!
ReplyDeletehugs - aus and co.
I wish I could answer your question too, Ann. There are no good answers that we can see on this side of heaven, only questions. She is, however showing the rest of us how to enjoy the life we have now.
ReplyDeleteGemma's writing reminds me of when my sister was little and drew on the wall. My mom asked her if she did it and she said, "No." My mom said, "Then go get the pencil you did it with" and my sister went and got the pencil. :)
She is certainly changing lives. I have to say, I am so taken with your little girl!
ReplyDeleteWe will keep praying for Teresa's miracle!
ReplyDeleteTell Gemma that I wrote my name on the wall when I was her age, and I told my parents my younger brother had done it. When they asked him, he looked at the letters in my name and said, "Yes, I drew that spider." Even then, I still got in trouble. ;)
Ann-We are praying for you and fasted again yesterday. You have worked a miracle in our lives and I am hoping for one for you! It would be great for our girls to see each other again:)

Ann,
ReplyDeleteOnly God can answer why. Please never give up hope. We will continue to pray and fast for her.
Even though she has not been home a year yet, the joy and happiness she has experienced in this time is more than many have in an entire lifetime. She is so happy. Without your family, she would have never had this type of once in a lifetime happiness.
We will pray daily for the entire family.
Lee Ann
Ann, if I could answer "why" then I think Teresa would have already had her surgery (or not needed it at all). I'm keeping her and all the rest of you in my thoughts.
ReplyDeleteYou can tell Gemma (when she's older, perhaps? ) that when my sister was very little, she carefully watched a group of workmen painting the walls in our house to prepare for a big social event. That night she decided to help them and by the time Mom found her, she'd "decorated" most of the hallway with indelible magic markers. Our landlord thought she was soooo cute, so he covered the cost for the crew to come back out the next day and repaint! :-)
