Boston

Yesterday I spoke to a wonderfully caring Doctor from Boston . He took the time to review Teresa's medical records with his colleagues and discuss her options . We spoke at length about Teresa's heart and lungs and unfortunately he agreed with Hopkins , CHOP and The Mayo Clinic. She is inoperable, her prognosis is not good, just a matter of time . We discussed what will happen and how to handle it . I can't tell you how disappointing this past week has been . Teresa is so full of life right now and she just LOVES everything and everybody and to think that she will just keep deteriorating is so sad . He also agreed that he did not recommend trying a heart/lung transplant because the success in children is EXTREMELY low .
For now she continues to think she is well ,nothing is wrong and life is wonderful .

We will continue to pray for her "Miracle".
My fear is :

The Miracle will not be the CURE... her life will be the Miracle .

We have not given up hope , just very sad.

  1. Ann,
I am so sorry that the doctor wasn't able to give better news. You are right that Teresa's life is a miracle, as is your family to her and she to your family. I am so thankful for those miracles, but I am asking for another, for her physical healing as well. She is truly an example! I am so glad you recognized her as your daughter when you saw her on the list.

  3. I'm so sorry. I know it isn't the news you were hoping to hear. I think of you often and pray for YOU and for little Teresa every time I do.

May the Lord grant you the strength and courage and comfort you need as you process this latest information AND as you wait to see what HE will do for you and for your girl.

  6. Her life IS a miracle, but that does not mean she is only entitled to one miracle! We will keep praying. And praying. And praying.

  7. Ann we will continue to lift Teresa up in prayer. I think of your family often and pray for a miracle to happen for her. Its a testiment to you and your family that life is going on normal for Teresa and that she can enjoy all the wonderful things in life that little girls should, Like a fancy princess dress, a tea party, playing with her sisters. You are the true meaning of what a real family should be. God Bless and know theres not a day that goes by i don't think of your little Princess and say a prayer for her.

  16. Dear Ann,
I'm sitting in Guangzhou with tears streaming down my face. Teresa is such a miracle and so is the fact that you found her and have committed your love to her. I am so grateful to you and your family for being the reason the light inside of beautiful Teresa shines brighter. Thank you for holding on to hope and for leaving no stone unturned in helping your daughter find a cure.
Teresa has been near and dear to my heart for a very long time. I will continue to pray for your family.
    May God bless you!
    Love and blessings,
    Robin

  18. She is so precious to you, and I have to believe she's even more so to our Father. Praying for a bigger miracle than the doctors seem to be able to perform.

  22. Ann,
thinking and praying for you and your family daily. we especially are praying for God's will for Little Teresa. we have lit several candles after Mass for her special intentions. Teresa is an inspiration to both of our daughters, especially to see her precious pictures is such a blessing. we are following along, and have many many extended family members and friends doing the same.

  24. I am so sorry. I agree with another poster who said that we can still pray for her to have another miracle. I wish too like Shannon that I could just stop by and give you a hug and sit silently with you or listen if you needed to talk.

Since I don't, please know I too pray for her every time I think of her, which is often.

I love the new photos you've shared. And there is nothing more fun and yummy than marshmallow roasting. From the photos she obviously enjoyed it.

I hope this is not presumptuous but I notice the many Disney costumes and your song on your blog … you have heard of Make A Wish foundation? I just wanted to throw that out there. Big hugs and Prayers, Leslie
