With Jesus

At 3:23 pm on July 1st, Teresa has ridden her princess bike into Heaven to meet Jesus. She had her ears pierced shortly before her last breath. While we were not there when she took her first breath,God blessed us to be there when she took her last.

Teresa, take care of and watch over your mom and dad and brothers and sisters and friends and all who loved you from heaven--they are so sad right now. So many people wanted you here with us. I join with everyone who says God has gained a very special princess today... Miss you already, little one.

  20. My heart breaks for you and your family. I've know the great pain of losing a child as my first born went to be with Jesus following heart surgery at the age of 17 months. Bless you for bringing her home from China and giving her a family to love her. We too have a precious daughter from China adopted 2 1/2 years ago.

  43. I've been trying to prepare myself for this post for a week, and I still burst out sobbing when I read it. I'll always remember the toddler in the stroller, earnestly demolishing an ice cream cone on a hot day in Guangzhou... the little girl laughingly declaring, "I beat you!" when we were rolling a ball back & forth at a CNY event... the shining example of a little child who refused to allow any physical constraints to interfere with her love of life and full enjoyment of all it has to offer and who lovingly taught us all so much about how to live in the too-short time she was here with us.

  82. A Christmas hymn in honor of your beautiful Christmas baby:
    1. Your little ones, dear Lord, are we, and come your lowly bed to see; enlighten ev'ry soul and mind, that we the way to you may find.
    2. With songs we hasten you to greet, and kiss the ground before your feet. Oh, blessed hour, oh, sweetest night that gave you birth, our soul's delight.
    3. Oh, draw us wholly to you, Lord, and to us all your grace accord; true faith and love to us impart, that we may hold you in our heart.
    4. Until at last we too proclaim, with all your saints, your glorious name; in paradise our songs renew, and praise you as the angels do.

I will continue to pray for God's mercy and grace for you in this time of such great sorrow, even as we envision your little Teresa joining the saints of heaven.

  113. God Bless and keep you all and give you strength to bear your sorrow.

This is one of my favourite poems. I hope you don't mind me sharing it with you:

''I'll lend you for a little while a child of mine, God said,

For you to love the while she lives, and mourn for when she's dead.

It may be six or seven years, or forty two or three,

But will you, 'til I call her back, take care of her for me?

She'll bring her charms to gladden you. And should her stay be brief,

You'll always have your memories as solace in your grief.

I cannot promise she will stay, since all from earth return,

But there are lessons taught below I want this child to learn.

I've looked this whole world over in my search for teachers true,

And from the folk that crowd life's lane, I have chosen you.

Now will you give her all your love and not think the labour vain,

Nor hate me when I come to take this lent child back again.

I fancy that I heard them say, 'Dear God Thy will be done',

For all the joys this child will bring, the risk of grief we'll run.

We'll shelter her with tenderness, we'll love her while we may,

And for all the happiness we've known, we'll ever grateful stay.

But should the angels call for her much sooner than we'd planned,

We'll brave the bitter grief that comes and try to understand.''

  123. Ann--We extend our heartfelt condolences and love to you and your relatives. We thank her medical team for its valiant effort. I've lived 37 years thus far and will never come close to touching the world as Teresa did during her 6 years on Earth. Not only did you provide her with a home and unconditional love, you made it possible for those of us around the world to come together with Teresa as our common bond by constantly updating your blog. You are the epitome of what it is to be a mother and Teresa was well aware of that. She fought harder than a large number of able-bodied men and has claimed her special place in Heaven. Although my heart is heavy, I'm comforted by the fact that she's with our Father and is no longer suffering. I'm better off for having encountered Teresa during my life. She was not alone and neither are you, Ann.

    Love,

  129. We will never say good-bye, never. You touched so many in such a short life. That angelic face. I pray for your family as they will miss you so much. I do know that you have not left. You live on in each person who prayed for you. You did more in 6 and 1/2 years than many will not do in a lifetime. You love Jesus - I remember your Mom, Ann, saying, you said you married Jesus. And sweetheart, He loves you so much. I cannot see anything else as I cry except your sweet face laughing and Jesus swinging you in the air laughing with you. He loves you so much. Never, ever say Good-bye. We will all meet again. I know your spirit always, always, always will live on. I pray for your family that as they miss you, they will always be reminded of your sweetness and all the happy memories. God be with all of you. God Bless you all. In Jesus Sweet Name, Amen.

I was vacuuming earlier today when I felt God send me these words in case sweet Teresa did pass away. They were intended for you. I protested in my head that I'd never need to pass these words unto your family, because Teresa would survive. But God knew otherwise. This is what He spoke to my heart and soul.
"You had only three years with Teresa. But throughout that time, you made a cosmic difference in her short life. You shared the Love of Jesus with this child. She knew her Lord and Savior. And now Teresa has truly met Him. She is in Heaven. Healed. All because of you."
I'll find Teresa a special angel figurine for my bedroom, as I collect them.
    --Peace.

    You gave her Jesus.
It was time to be with her bridegroom.

The sadness will be with you since you won't be able to enjoy her now,

  169. Thank you for sharing 'Teresa' and your family's journey with us. It's not the outcome we were all praying for-but we know that we will all be reunited again in Heaven. May you find comfort in knowing Teresa knew the love of your family and saw that you were always with her. She is now fully restored and marveling in the splendor God describes in Heaven. Teresa is laughing, singing, riding her princess bike in the glorious splendor of Heaven. Having seen the few videos you have posted of Teresa and many of your comments, she is probably asking Jesus "lots of questions' and showing off her 'pierced ears' :-). Sympathy to all your family.
