Dear Teresa- Believe In Miracles!

Dear Teresa,
4 Weeks!  It has been 4 weeks that we have had to learn to live with out you in our arms.  Your spirit is EVERYWHERE.  I can feel your love in your sisters, brothers and everyone in the world.  We have been so blessed to live in such a wonderful community full of amazing friends and even strangers.   Everyone everywhere has been showing our family so much love and support and I know it is because of the love that YOU sweet girl showed to everyone while you were here.

After you went to Heaven,  Daddy and I felt God was asking us to help other orphans with complex heart conditions like yours.  We had no idea how to go about helping so many children but we knew God would not ask us to do this unless HE was going to show us exactly how to, and HE did.   He orchestrated it all just like HE has for your entire life.  He is always in control.  All we have to do is trust.

A few weeks ago out of the blue, Serena from your orphanage in China,   contacted us. We had no knowledge that  Little Flower was the orphanage that took care of you  for two years.  We told them our vision of what we wanted to do in China and they put us in contact with another family who had the same vision.   You are not going to believe this Little T, but it is the family of your friend Cai Ping!  You and Ping were in the same orphanage for three years together.  I have so many photos of the two of you together and now here we are talking to Pings parents about how we can all help orphans like you and Ping in China in your memory.   What a miracle!

Daddy and I have partnered with Little Hearts Medical Foundation.  LHM   mission is to provide cardiac care to orphans.  Our goal is to provide mission trips several times a year with several teams from different hospitals here in the U.S. and work along side  and train the Doctors in Beijing.   Our goal also is  to help the orphanages identify children with heart disease as soon as they are admitted  into their care  and then provide them with the resources and medical care immediately to treat them.  Had this happened for you sweet girl your life may have been very different . You unfortunately were not diagnosed until it was too late and then you were considered "hopeless."  No child should be hopeless.  Every child deserves a family and a future.   There are very caring Doctors in China that want to work with us , they just need a little guidance and help.  Another goal that we have is to  open a Heart Home in Beijing specifically for the most severe heart children and provide them with care before and after surgery.  We will call the new Home "  The I Love You More Heart Home "  after you Teresa.  Everything is moving so quickly T and  I know it is because you are being "The Boss" in Heaven.  I know you must be talking Jesus ear off .  I know how persistent you are!  I also know that HE loves you dearly.

Believe in Miracles Foundation was set up to help our family with you and your sisters medical bills, but as soon as they are taken care of, Believe in Miracles foundation will help to take care of orphans  and provide them with the life saving surgeries and care  they need.

Your life had such enormous purpose and now in your memory so much more is being done to help other children.

If Teresa has touched your life and you would like to help us in  this mission please email me and I will share with you our plans in more detail.   If  you feel called to help financially , please know we will be eternally grateful to you for helping us to give orphans a future and a loving home.

Teresa's one wish was to have a family of her own.

Please help us to do this for orphans in  her memory.

  2. You should talk to Nancy Robertson at The Grace Children's Foundation. She works to connect the needs of children in China with people who can help. She'd probably be able to give you a lot of assistance in getting started and in connecting to doctors and orphanages in China. TGF also has a headquarters in Beijing and in NY. I know she does a lot of similar work in China for children with severe special needs including heart babies, children with acute burns and more.

  4. Ann....
Wow. You are doing it. Accepting Teresa's heartbreaking loss as Tony Stark/Iron Man would say in "The Avengers". "It's a... terrible privilege.". Translation. Losing Teresa may have been the most emotionally painful thing that you've ever done. But now? In her memory, you are reaching out to other medically fragile Beautifully Unique Chinese children. Like Tony Stark becoming an unlikely superhero. It's a... terrible privilege.

  5. I too, feel Teresa orchestrating this for the Bartlinski family and their supporters. Would love to see a race to the top goal or something on the FB page where so many supporters rallied in prayer for Teresa and her family. Maybe someone could start a matching fund or some way to get some the 5,000 plus people to donate 10, 25, 50 or 100$$$ in honor of Teresa. Easy to start some fundraiser to get a half million or million donate by Teresa birthday on 25 Dec. There must be a bunch of great fundraisers amongst this group. As you can guess, I'm an idea person, not a fundraiser type doer.
But I'll can cheer lead others to do something like this.

  8. Thank you for this new endeavor to help those still in China with cardiac conditions. This hits very close to home for me. My daughter from China has a CHD. The file stated a minor condition, the test results once home showed a more complicated defect. Maybe if the doctors were trained better to read the echo or there was better equipment, her diagnosis would have come sooner.

You and your family continue to be in my thoughts.

  9. We are so excited about this...Sierra has been saving money for two years now to build a hospital in China. Her money will now go to the I Love You More Home in Teresa's memory!! Pass the word...spread the news!!! Teresa needs all of us to make her dream come true!!
Keep me in mind Ann, for a trip!

  10. We need to get the word out on Facebook, to friends and family. Love the goal to get as much money as we can by December 25th. Nothing is impossible!! If we all donate $100 and ask 4 friends to do the same, and they ask 4 friends....well you see where I'm going! Let's get this hospital built!!

  11. Think it would be nice if everyone could take out a small life insurance policy for your new home in china or leave a little of their estate..wouldn't this be magic! The money could go to operations the children need or this would always provide money also in the future to assist with repairs and things needed for the heart home. (Just like hospitals here in the states do when people leave a certain amount of their estate to the hospital or foundation. My prayers are still with you and your family..Teresa will forever live on in people's heart.

  12. I love it that Teresa's little friend's name was Cai Ping. My daughter waiting in China is Qing Ping. Ping doesn't have CHD. She has club foot & hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy. She has low muscle tone & at the last report, doesn't move much at all. She was malnourished & weighed 11 lbs at 21 months old but she was moved to Maria's Big House of Hope. She is thriving. I am awaiting a finger print appointment from USCIS. Teresa's story, her love for the Lord, her family & people, & her strength of character have really touched my heart. I have to continue fundraising for my adoption but in the future, I will donate to your new ministry. God bless each of you!

  13. Is Believe in Miracles a 501-c-3 organization so that if I set up a weekly donation through my bank then I could get tax receipts every January? Thanks for any additional info. Esther Paris in RI (esther dot p two one zero at gmail dot com)
