Lord give us strength! I am tired of walking these halls and seeing so much suffering.
They are having a hard time keeping Teresa comfortable under sedation because she just does not want to sleep. She is crying silent tears and it breaks my heart. She has suffered so much in 6 years. Please God give her rest tonight and HEAL her heart.
Constant prayers for your little girl. A question for you - is Teresa in a private CICU? From personal experience CICUs are very noisy places and the nurses are all talking and all the equipment is humming and beeping and buzzing - it is loud - they (nurses and doctors) think you cannot hear them all talking (loudly) but a patient can and I remember I could get NO sleep until I went into a private room. I know today they have private ICUs. Do they have those there? Is that a possibility for little Teresa? Just a thought and trying to help. ((((hugs)))
ReplyDeletePlease know that a sweet little girl from S. Georgia and her family is fervently holding you all up in prayer.... There are no words...

ReplyDeleteI can't imagine how hard that is to watch. You want your baby to be healthy and not hurting. I wish I could hug you. Your family has touch so many of us. My little girl will be having her 2nd open heart soon. The first was done in China. Your family is in my thought and prayers all day and night.
ReplyDeleteHugging you from Louisville Kentucky my friend.

Praying that Teresa's mind will allow her to rest, and that her entire being feels peace tonight. I smiled at your earlier post about her fighting the sedation. When my son was almost 7 years old, he had his 2nd heart surgery. I remember telling the nurse in the PICU that he was not a good sleeper and not to be surprised if he woke up from the sedation...sure enough, about 20 minutes after I said that, he was awake and asking for the breathing tube to be removed. I guess he and Teresa don't want to miss anything!
ReplyDeleteI know this is a long and hard journey. You and Teresa are in our prayers for healing, for strength, and for peace.
I feel your heartache, I am sorry that Teresa is having a rough time tonight. I pray that God will ease her suffering and give peace, so that she can get the rest she so desperately needs. So many are praying for her, for the rest of you too! I pray that God is with Teresa tomorrow as the doctors try to find out what the issue is with her right ventricles, Please take heart, God is with Teresa and with you, we will be there with you in prayer and in love. Jenny/PA
ReplyDeletePraying for you and Ed. God love you and give you strength.

ReplyDeletePraying for your heart this evening, too. He binds up the broken hearted and heals their wounds. In Jesus' name!
ReplyDeleteI agree...she needs and deserves to be well...I have faced many health issues and it's hard to keep strong moment by moment. Thankfully Christ is our strength and we rely on him, so tonight I pray God will heal your precious baby girl and that her suffering becomes a triumph and miracle of Gods power and love. When two or more agree...that's all it takes. Our family as well as the world stand with you and continue to pray. We await the arrival of our little girl in the coming months...so we join the growing group of families fighting hard for the kids we bring home to be part of a family. Your girl has a family and the love of many...stay strong and hold onto your faith!!!

ReplyDeleteKeeping watch during the midnight hour with prayers from South Carolina. May the Lord be gracious unto you. May He smile upon Teresa and each of you in loving and unexpected ways...big and small. May His presence in your room and on the floor feel warm and gentle....like a fragrant breeze on a perfect sky blue day. May His touch comfort and embrace you and calm all your frustrations. May His angels surround you and protect you through the night. May He lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace.
ReplyDeleteYour family has touched my heart. Teresa is such a brave and beautiful girl, but no one should have to suffer what she is going through. She sounds so aware and feisty and it must be so painful watching her struggle but heartening to know she is fighting so hard. As the mom of a little girl I know how fierce that love is for our little ones. Praying for a solution and a miracle for your precious girl. Huge hugs too.
ReplyDeleteSending much love and prayers to you and Teresa. What a brave girl. It must be so painful to see her suffer I am sure. She deserves healing and peace and a new lease on life. Sending big hugs! Praying for a miracle and an answer to so many of our prayers.

ReplyDeletePraying for your continued strength. Praying for complete healing for Teresa, and praying that it will be soon. God bless you. Love and hugs from our family and our church family. ~Tina
ReplyDeleteI pray for your strength often. I was only in the hospital with our daughter for a week, but the intensity of the emotions, the waiting, her need for me to be by her side every minute (I couldn't hold her, but I was allowed to scrunch my body into the crib with her)...it is a lot as you are waiting & hoping. I pray that today brings encouraging news to give you a boost to keep putting one foot in front of the other.
ReplyDeleteI am praying for your little Teresa, and for your entire family. I have followed your blog for a long long time, and through the years I have lifted Teresa up to our sovereign LORD Jesus Christ over and over again. HE is Saviour and Lord and nothing surpasses HIM.
ReplyDeletePraying today for your strength (I have been "there" three times with openheart surgeries for two of my daughters); I know the halls you walk...and I know the uncertainity when it does not go the way we plan....it is there we see HIM and HIS grace and power.

Father God,We lift Teresa before Your throne and ask for complete healing for this precious one. I ask Lord that You would reach in and heal her heart and lungs in a very miraculous way. Let Your glory be shown greatly in this little ones life.We speak the life of the Lord Jesus Christ and His peace over her. We ask that You Lord would speak sweetly to her even now and sing her to sleep so she can rest. We command all fear and anxiety to go in Jesus name.
ReplyDeleteLord, send Your warrior and guardian angels into her room and do battle on her behalf.Flood her body with your balm of Gilead. Give her Mama and Daddy You peace as they go through this battle Lord. We say peace,be still to this storm,in Jesus name.
Hoping Teresa continue to be strong! I'm sending you my prayers and love. I'm wishing for the best every day for you all.

A single mom from New Jersey sending prayers to beautiful Teresa and the lovely family that has been both blessed to have her in their life and a blessing to Teresa and all their children...I hope that God wills Teresa a life on earth so that she can inspire and touch even more people when she is well and recovered. I have been following this story and it has touched on my heartstrings as though I personally know Teresa and her beautiful family that surrounds her. What a dream to meet such a courageous little girl someday.
ReplyDeleteGod Bless...
It broke my heart to hear Teresa's story on the Today Show. Please know that I, too am praying several times daily for you all. I pray for your strength and peace and that Teresa's heart will function well on its own. I so much want that little girl to walk out of that hospital and into your arms and get her ears pierced!!!
ReplyDeleteI am paring so hard for your little girl-- thoughts of her keep me awake at night...praying. You see, I was born with a single ventricle --and I am still alive at 55, a vice president at a media company and the single mother of two children adopted from Vietnam and China. I can tell you, I have bee in CICU for 75 days under sedation. Outside of the breathing tube, which is really uncomfortable, she is okay. She will not remember any of this but she can hear you and she knows you are there. Stay calm, stay focused...I am telling you from experience, Jesus is there.
