Teresa
just went back . It has taken a village ( actually the world) praying
for her and helping us on this journey . And we are eternally grateful
to everyone ! It took a village to get her from her room to the or
because of all if her equipment . But she made it safely . Pray god will
keep her here in our arms !!!!!
Teresa went back to the OR dressed as a princess.
Praying for Teresa and your family. May she come out of that OR dressed as a princess with a healed heart ready to ride her princess bike. With God all things are possible and I believe he is going to pull her through this. She is such a spcial little girl with an amazing journey ahead of her. Love you little princess warrior even though we have never met. Be stong. Be brave.

ReplyDeleteDear Ed, Ann and family, Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. We have "walked in your shoes" as we adopted four "special needs" children, two from Korea, one daughter from China and one son from Maryland. The two boys' were born with Spina Bifida and have underegone over 80 surgeries at Johns Hopkins Hospital. The now 13 year old has spent much of his life enduring 60+ surgeries and is heading for two more very soon. Dr. Carson was the attending for the majority of the surgeries; along with 4 other surgeons for spinal fusions, bowel and bladder reconstruction etc. I average 6 appointments per week and I have lost count of the frequent trips to the emergency room. At present, the 13 year old continues to struggle with a leaking cecostomy tube for the past 3 years. He has had 14 "tube change outs"; along with a sealant to hopefully stop the leakage, but with a consult with another surgeon last weeks reveals two options of challenge. I cannot imagine how this young man can endure another surgery. He is now going through a very difficult time of the teenage years with the limitations that he will continue to face. We also reside in Maryland. I would be more than happy to share my email address with you when the time is right for you. It has been 26 years of living life in the O.R. and it seems like only yesterday when our first child arrived. Savor each and every moment. It is only God's time clock, not ours. Blessings and continued prayer for your beautiful family. Lois
